Nineteen years ago All Star had the opportunity to add 5 baseball fields to complement the 2 existing softball fields. With this the Southwest Bear Baseball League became the All Star Bear League. Over this time All Star has seen many talented athletes participate in our league and tournaments and achieve great accomplishments. Many have gone on to play High School, Junior College, and Division I & II baseball, along with some currently playing at the minor league level. The accolades of the program are shown by the numerous plaques listing the team accomplishments located at the fields.
Along with the talented athletes, there have been many quality coaches who have helped develop these athletes. Their love of the game has shown in the numerous hours they devote to their teams. No team would be complete without the support of the families and siblings.
Over the years All Star has had a great group of “core” umpires that we have had the honor of working with and are grateful to be able call them our friends
Along with our many baseball teams we have had hundreds of softball players who have logged many runs on our diamonds. With the support of our softball coordinator and umpires we feel fortunate to have been working with a quality bunch of players and staff.
All Star was approached with a proposition. This one caught our attention more than any previous one. After many, many hours of thought and talks it became a fact that this was a serious offer. One not taken lightly.
Effective August 1, 2011, All Star will continue to maintain our fields which will be leased full time by the Tulsa Soccer Club. We will continue to run the daily complex activities of miniature golf, private and public batting cages, private baseball hitting, pitching and fielding lessons, baseball camps, video arcade room, host birthday, team, church and work party packages and continue to house Hoop’s Pizza & Wings Restaurant.
We wish the absolute best to the many softball and baseball teams, coaches, families and umpires that we have become acquainted with over the past 19 years. We are grateful for the friendships and support and hope to maintain it for years to come.
